Bard College has done some innovative things under their president, Leon Botstein, including moving to an entirely different admissions model, which looks to be pretty labor-intensive for faculty. This profile also describes a college with a similar ethos and population to ours, far more income yet also far more financial uncertainty than Guilford has, and also with creative, original, and rigorous programs. They also have a prison education system that was one of the models for the one we’re trying to get going. A very interesting piece.
